Computer is an electronic device. A machine that can be store data, find and arrange data, calculate amounts and control other machine. It is used to perform complex calculations and to perform multiple task which are not only difficult but impossible for human mind to accomplish effectively. Computer is one of the best invention of modern technology. The first mechanical computer, which is developed by “Charles Babbage” nearly 19th century.
Parts Of Computer: The four basic parts of computer are:
1. CPU ( Central Processing Unit)
2. Monitor
3. Keyboard
4. Mouse.
The CPU is known as the brain of computer which process all functions.
The Monitor is an output device of computer which shows results while keyboard and pointing device mouse are input device which are used to command. A computer has not only pressing input and output device. It process control and arithmetic unit and memory unit which stores data.
Some other peripheral device like printer, speaker,scanner and camera can be connected with it. All these are output decice.
In this digital world computer process an important place in our life. It has made our work easy. It save our time and reduces our effort.
Computer are used in office, bank, hospital, railway station, defence, educational institutions, etc. Computer are used to enter information and store them. Computer are also used to entertainment like computer game, watching and listening to music. Student can use it for their studies. It help them to make their assignments, presentations and search information about different topics.
Computer is a wonderful gift of science created by man to help mankind. Laptop and Desktops are the forms of computer that are ruling the world today and this has definitely changed the life style of people and status of developing countries.
